To change the line spacing from single to double in AbleWord for Windows, go to the 'Page Layout' section, and under the 'Line and Paragraph Spacing' option, select 'Double'.
When I load a file into AbleWord 3.0 or start a new one, the page height is greater than my screen. I would like to zoom out to show the whole page, or zoom in to read very small type. I can do that in many other programs. I cannot find the feature in AbleWord. Is it there?

You can zoom in or out using a combination of keyboard and mouse. To zoom in or out, use CTRl + Mousewheel UP/Down. If you don't have a scroll wheel, use the buttons available on the interface of the application. You can see it in the image below:
